What Homosexuality is not!
So a friend of mine shared this video with me. Though this video doesn’t address all the stereotypes, it does forcefully address many of them. This video is a preview to a upcoming Documentary call “What homosexuality is not.” I am really excited for this film to come out. A lot of activists, speakers, and educational materials are passive about speaking out. This video is aggressive and in your face about the message without being disrespectful. I believe that this documentary will be great for the LGBT community. While trying to educate heterosexuals whom are not allies, about heterosexuality, the people responsible for this video are not going out of their way to justify who they are or their sexual orientation to anyone, which I believe is how it should be.

Thanks for sharing!
Sometimes a little boldness and in your face is necessary when defending human rights. By addressing certain “myths” or fears about homosexuality, hopefully homophobic people will question what it is that they are so against and more importantly– why.
I posted this and “what transgender is not” on my facebook. I feel these are amazing videos and a great way to get the word out for those that need a little help moving past the social barriers against homosexuals and transgenders.
I had just got into an argument with a person I have known for many years over gay marriage and tried to figure out why it was such a big deal to him that stays illegal and many of his reasonings were just as we discussed in class as well as what I, and I am sure all of us have, heard from many other people.
I was at a loss for words, for the fact that I have known this man for so long.
Thank you so much for posting this! I shared this as well on my facebook page. I hope that the documentary helps some people in society address their homophobia, and learn to be more accepting of others. mhoward058′s comment about his argument with his friend reminds me of a conversation I was listening to after night class one day, that involved two people against the gay marriage bill, that were trying to justify their bigotry and were claiming not to be anti-gay at the same time. I had to walk away as I was so mad at the time, and I didn’t want to confront them as I would probably have been hostile.
